What is
Cyber Security?
In simple word
we can say that Cyber Security is the protection of
internet-connected systems, including hardware, software and data from
Cyber-Attacks. These Cyber-Attacks are usually aimed at accessing,
changing or destroying sensitive information, extorting money from users or
interrupting normal business processes. So, Cyber Security teaches us to protect
ourselves from cyber-attacks.
Purpose:
The purpose
of cyber security is to help prevent cyber-attacks, data breaches and
identity theft and can aid in risk management. When an organization has a
strong sense of network security and an effective incident response
plan, it is better able to prevent and mitigate cyber-attacks.
For Example:
In Today’s Digital era, Most of the people have their
personal smart phone or laptop and all have want to secure that but they can’t.
Because they have not sufficient knowledge about cyber security or cyber-attacks.
So, they need to learn at least some
basic things of security.
Information Security:
Information Security which is designed to maintain the
Confidentially, Integrity and Availability of data in a subset of cyber
security. It is important in the Organization because it can protect
confidential information. User Authentication and Cryptography are example
of Information
Security.
In Cyber Security, there are 3 main
activities that we are trying to protect ourselves against:
· Unauthorized Modification
· Unauthorized Deletion
· Unauthorized Access
Many people think that cyber security
is limited to the anti-virus program you’ve got installed. But In reality,
that’s only a small part of it.
Implementing effective cyber security measures is
particularly challenging today because there are more devices and attackers are
becoming more innovative compare to normal people.
